Dependent origination
Also known as everything is connected · nothing exists on its own · dependent origination · interbeing · dependent arising
Presented as what a tradition teaches, attributed to that tradition.
The Buddhist account that things arise in dependence on conditions rather than existing independently, traditionally set out as a chain of twelve linked factors. It is a claim about how experience and existence are structured, developed later by Nāgārjuna into emptiness, and it is regularly misreported as a physics finding about everything being connected.
Entries in this library keep the tradition label and the editorial state the source gave them. A record marked as awaiting scholarly review is offered as a lead to study, not as settled teaching.
