HELP, AND WHERE ELSE TO TURN
Last updated 23 October 2026
What we can help with, how to reach us, how to manage your own information, and what to do if what you need is not us.
Draft for review
Items shown as [TO CONFIRM: …] are outstanding details that only the owner of this app can supply. Where a value is marked proposed, it has been supplied for review and is not yet confirmed — a company, address or mailbox that does not yet exist is not a disclosure. These items are not legal disclosures, and this page should not be relied on until they are confirmed and the wording has been checked by someone qualified to advise on it.
If you need help now
In the United Kingdom, if you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For emotional support, Samaritans can be reached free on 116 123, at any hour, or by email at jo@samaritans.org.
Those numbers serve the UK. Outside the UK, use your local emergency number and a crisis line in your own country — for example through findahelpline.com.
This app cannot provide emergency help, and nothing it says should stand in for a person qualified to give it.

Managing your information
You can manage your memories, reflections, Care Circle permissions and account using the controls available within Talk to the Tree. For requests that cannot be completed within the app, contact our support team.
- Read, change or delete what is remembered on the My Memory page, and switch memory off there.
- Your reflections are listed on the Reflections page, where each one can be edited, exported or deleted, and where sharing is switched on or off.
- Pause, change or revoke a care circle on the Care circle page. Revoking a code stops it working immediately.
- Delete your whole account from My Space, which removes your personal records; what it does not remove is set out in the Privacy Policy.
What we can help with
- Getting into your account, or a sign-in that will not work.
- Deleting a memory, a reflection or your whole account.
- A care circle code that has gone astray, or a companion who can no longer open it.
- An answer that was wrong, unsafe, or used a source badly.
- A correction to something in the library, including a misattributed teaching.
- Accessibility problems, or anything on a phone that does not work as it should.
If an answer worried you
Answers are generated and can be wrong. If one was unsafe, or presented a modern association as a traditional teaching, tell us the words you typed and roughly when — it can be traced and the library behind it corrected. If an answer suggested something you have already done and you are unsure whether it was safe for you, speak to a doctor or pharmacist rather than asking the app again.
Companion codes and privacy
A care circle code works for whoever holds it. If you are not sure who has one, revoke it and give a new code to the person you intended. Access through a code is not currently rate limited per visitor, and we cannot tell who opened a view with an active code. We cannot recover a code that has been lost — a new one can be issued in its place.
Important information
Talk to the Tree offers spiritual, philosophical and personal reflection tools. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Terms
The Terms of Use describe what the app is and is not. In short: reflection and learning, not professional care. What is held about you, and for how long, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
