A reading, framework or argument, attributed to whoever holds it.
Aristotle's word for the point of a human life: not a feeling of happiness but a life that expresses human excellence, judged over the whole of it. Later traditions translated it as happiness or flourishing, which changes what it means.
Entries in this library keep the tradition label and the editorial state the source gave them. A record marked as awaiting scholarly review is offered as a lead to study, not as settled teaching.
